The MonDoudou from the Fine Art Collection named “Toile d’Amour” from the house of von Lauersdorf® is an exceptional one-of-a-kind piece, hand-painted by an artist from Fischerhude – a baby carrier that combines function and art in a special way.

The delicate background of organic cotton in a refined satin weave gives the fabric an exceptionally smooth surface with a silky feel. The fine weave structure reflects the light softly and makes the pastel colour gradients of the painting appear particularly vivid.

At the heart of the design, a poetic scene unfolds:
A small ship, carried by a hot-air balloon, seems to glide silently through a dreamy sky. Surrounded by delicate stars and a swallow in flight, an image of lightness and quiet movement emerges – a composition reminiscent of our classic Toile de Jouy illustration as much as of romantic travel visions of times gone by.

The soft colour gradients of cream, rosé, gold and sky blue look almost like a watercolour on fabric and lend the carrier a special depth and calm. The result is a design that not only tells a story but carries within it a little tale of freedom, imagination and a sense of security.

The design is complemented by the characteristic gold buttons bearing the von Lauersdorf® coat of arms, which give the carrier a subtle, aristocratic touch.
